Trainee Role Profile: We are looking for someone who can start no later than May 2025, working in a full-time position on an 11-month Fixed Term Contract, with no guarantee of an extension or permanent contract at conclusion. The total compensation on offer is £53,104.

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role: This is a support team function managing Credit Risk across various business lines of our Investment Bank in London including:

  • Project Finance
  • Leveraged Finance
  • TMT Finance
  • Strategic Acquisition Finance
  • Real Estate Finance

The key functions of this Risk Manager role include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborating with Front Office and other internal stakeholders as necessary on proposed transactions to opine on operational feasibility, review of credit applications, term sheets, draft legal documentation etc.
  • Post-closing Credit Risk Management of Deal Life Cycle events
  • Covenant Monitoring
  • Quarterly and/or Annual Portfolio Reviews (including rating reviews)
  • Waivers & Amendments
  • Watch-List Provision
  • Risk Weighted Assets follow up

Responsibilities:

  • Review of Loan Documentation and related Legal contracts
  • Analysis of Financial Statements
  • Drafting of Quarterly and/or Annual Portfolio Review Documents
  • Reporting on progress and operational performance of assets financed
  • Identify industry trends
  • Run sensitivity analysis on financial forecasts and models
  • Assess country, market and environmental risks
  • Liaise with external parties; Borrowers, Banks, Technical/Legal advisors, Insurers, Valuers etc.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders; Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance etc.
