Overview
The Risk Management (RISQ) Division in the UK operates independently from the Business Lines. RISQ Division's mission is to contribute to the development of the SG Group's activity by facilitating the objectives of the Business Lines while maintaining independent oversight through risk evaluation and monitoring. The trainee role will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Credit Risk for SGLB.
Responsibilities
- Assist the credit risk team of SGLB in maintaining and enhancing a portfolio view of the credit risks generated by SGLB’s activities.
- Produce regular management reports including key credit risk metrics and dealflow tracking, to be used by the SGLB Risk Management Committee, SGLB RISQ management or SGLB Executive Management.
- Supplement regular management reports with ad hoc analyses as required, covering specific parts of the portfolio (Business Lines, Sectors etc.) or as part of stress testing.
- Take responsibility for production of timely and accurate reporting used for the management and monitoring of credit risk in SGLB.
- Work on the improvement of SGLB-specific credit risk reports (systems, templates and methodologies).
- Develop additional reports as required (stress tests, forward-looking analyses, ad hoc reviews) under the supervision of the SGLB Head of Credit Risk.
- Liaise with other RISQ/UK staff members and other SGLB teams to deliver on objectives.
- Support the credit risk team in the enhancement/automation of the different reports and tools.
- Assist the credit risk team in the preparation of presentations dedicated to credit risk topics.
- After a period of training, reach a level of autonomy that enables independent and accurate production of the various reports within scope of the SGLB credit risk team.
Requirements
- Responsibility and commitment to perform tasks to a high standard.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in parallel.
- Strong analytical skills and rigorous attention to detail.
- Confidence in building relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
- Broad understanding of risk management in a banking environment would be beneficial.
- Experience of using PowerBI would be beneficial in this role.
- French language skills would be an advantage.
