About the Role
As a Trainee in FIG M&A, you will gain unparalleled exposure to the financial institutions sector, covering multiple subsectors and geographies. You will be actively involved in the origination and execution of M&A transactions, working alongside experienced bankers in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You Will Do

Assist in the origination and execution of M&A deals across the FIG sector

Conduct detailed industry and company research, financial modelling, and valuation analysis

Prepare and pitch presentations to clients, investors, and the broader investment community

Comply with all relevant risk, regulatory, and internal policy obligations

Work within agreed risk limits and adhere to Société Générale’s Code of Conduct and behavioural standards
Profile required
What We Are Looking For

A Master’s degree or equivalent in a finance-related discipline

Minimum 6 months’ practical work experience (internship or similar) in M&A, investment banking, or related fields

Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills from day one

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Excellent communication skills; articulate, corporate, and well-presented

Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of urgency and commitment

Team player with a collaborative approach
