About the team:
Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payment & Cash Management (PCM), Trade Services (TRA), Factoring and Supply Chain Finance (SGF), and Cash Clearing Services (BAN), as well as the FX services associated with these activities.
The PCM team delivers and supports cash management products and services provided to our corporate customers. With over 6,000 specialists in over 50 countries, PCM is a strategic activity for Societe Generale, offering expertise of a large international banking group with over twenty years of experience.
The TRA team provides trade-related services such as documentary credits or LCs, Standby Letters of Credit, International guarantees, and finance across 50 countries.
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
· Support the Sales Director to service and expand existing client relationships and identify new opportunities within a defined portfolio of SG’s clients to contribute to the continued growth of the business.
· Contribute to providing a “best in class” experience for clients whenever they interact with us.
· Assist in managing and mitigating all risks, including KYC and credit, to ensure adherence to all relevant rules and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Sales Director with all commercial activities and client portfolio management.
· Perform basic credit analysis, credit applications, renewals, and governance with support from the Sales Director.
· Manage and create marketing materials, including pitch books, RFI, and RFP responses.
· Perform KYC onboarding and renewals as required, with support from appropriate SG teams.
· Act as the second point of contact in the absence of the Sales Director.
· Take ownership of client queries up to resolution.
· Maintain all MI data, including call reports, scorecards, and deal pipelines.
· Foster good working relationships with support teams to benefit our clients.
Profile required
· Fluent or native English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
· Recent graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Knowledge of financial/credit analysis is a plus.
· Knowledge of KYC processes is beneficial.
· Numeracy skills.
· Understanding of cash management and related products.
· Knowledge of the global payments industry.
· Familiarity with the Asset Manager/Financial Sponsor industry.
