Responsibilities
- The trader will be a team member of the FX Options trading desk.
- Representing the bank in OTC FX Options Markets.
- Act as Market maker for vanilla and semi‑exotic products within the FX Options Perimeter.
- Gain experience intelligence on his/her markets and comprehensive knowledge of the products dealt with.
- Price FX Options and book them accordingly.
- Manage the book and hedge risk appropriately.
The trader will also focus on:
- Developing SG image/presence on the market through trading volumes and market presence.
- Proposing new products in collaboration with financial engineering teams and sales force.
- Supporting sales staff through client pitches /actively contributing to business development.
- Developing trading strategies.
- Assist in developing pricing models.
- Specifying or developing IT tools (automatons, pricing engines…).
- Project Management (e.g. IT Projects).
- Provide pricing in other currency pairs during periods of holidays or sickness.
- Provide Sales desks with trade ideas and currency flows to generate increased sales business.
- Record all trades in line with procedures.
- Actions any compliance breach immediately and with full explanation.
- Liaise between front and middle office to ensure smooth deal processing.
Other duties include:
- Hierarchical management of permanent staff/of trainees.
- Business coordination or supervisory activities.
- Manage the education and career paths of junior members of the team.
- Ensure Counterparty trades are within credit limits.
Conduct Responsibilities

- Responsibility for managing, controlling, preparing and escalating risk within the scope of your position and in line with existing policies.
- Responsibility to ensure that you take reasonable steps to be fully aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory requirements from all regulatory and statutory bodies, trading venues, etc. that are applicable to your role and business line.
- To assist in the self‑identification of all conduct‑related issues. Ensure escalation to appropriate stakeholder or function whether internal or external.
- Adhere to business line mandates relevant to the role as directed by your manager.
Profile required
- Investment banking/financial services industry knowledge and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact and communicate convincingly at all levels with key decision makers in a variety of business lines, management and control functions across the bank.
- Ability to work independently on multiple conflicting priorities and under pressure until completion.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Excellent analytical skills and an aptitude for numbers with excellent attention to detail.
