About the Team: The Group’s strategic roadmap has placed digital and innovation at the core of its strategic plan to ensure improved operational efficiency and reliance on digital and data-first technology by leveraging the SG Markets Digital platform offering. The GBTO/SGM team is comprised of 5 global org streams, enhancing the digital journey of Société Générale’s clients and staff across the SG Markets platform.

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:

  • Gather & Analyse business requirements by liaising with Product Owners/ Business Partners.
  • Writing detailed functional specifications (Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria) by interacting with the Product Owner.
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability.
  • Ensure vendor relationship and coordination with technical consultant as part of project/support.

Key Responsibilities:

Development:
  • Develop code snippets and scripts as needed.
  • Participate in updating code where needed.
Testing:
  • Perform end-to-end testing by defining test scenarios, documenting defects, and ensuring that the product aligns with target visions before operational use.
Production support:
  • Support inquiries, issues, and major events to identify root cause and resolution.
  • Ensure Support processes and practices are applied by the team.
Deployment:
  • Assist in drafting release notes.
  • Develop Release Scripts and manage tools used for releases.
  • Verify that entry criteria for each release candidate is fulfilled prior to deployment.
  • Plan and execute manual and automated deployments to staging, QA, and PROD environments.
  • Lead deployments, develop run books, develop contingency and rollback plans.
  • Execute deployments to environments while supporting ongoing application development.

Profile required

Technical Essential:
  • Familiarity with bash/command line scripts.
  • Application and Infrastructure /Middleware Support and Maintenance.
  • Working Knowledge of Windows/Linux Server administration.
  • Understanding of Web Security, Authentication, HTTPS.
  • Working Knowledge of CI/CD, Teamcity, GitHub, and Jira.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Software development.
  • C# .NET, TDD.
  • API development.
  • SQL Skills.
  • Project Management.
  • Understanding of PostgreSQL and Rabbit MQ administration.
  • Understanding of Technical Architecture of Applications.
