Responsibilities
- Manage daily trading activity across securities lending, borrowing, and repo transactions
- Monitor and optimise inventory, funding costs, and balance sheet utilisation
- Price and execute transactions with internal desks and external clients
- Identify trading opportunities, including specials and arbitrage opportunities
- Maintain strong relationships with Prime Brokerage, Sales, and clients
- Monitor corporate actions and market developments impacting positions and pricing
- Ensure compliance with risk limits, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
- Contribute to automation, tooling improvements, and strategic initiatives (e.g. platform development such as Athena)
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Equity Finance (securities lending, repo, collateral management)
- Understanding of Prime Brokerage and client financing needs
- Proven experience in trading and risk management
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in Python, VBA, or equivalent tools
- Knowledge of financial markets and corporate actions
- Balance sheet and funding optimisation expertise
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced trading environment
