Responsibilities About the team: Growth opportunity to join a new division focused on developing our entire credit franchise globally, with the chance to shape a role and team. We have recently combined parts of our Investment Banking and Global Markets team to form a new Distribution and Credit Solutions (DCS) division to combine our capabilities in the credit space. DCS revolves around 4 teams: Syndication: covering DCM, illiquid products and structured products managing the Bank underwriting books. Credit Advisory, Structuring & Financing: covering origination, advisory and execution of fund finance and securitization products for clients of the Bank and in charge of the engineering for the Bank’s own de-risking solutions. Credit Trading: covering flow, structured credit and loans with the respective financing under a unified credit trading book. Credit Sales: covering public credit sales, private sales in charge of banks and some institutional investors as well as asset specialists and credit insurance. All with the objectives to: Grow our financing origination: Better connect Capital Seekers with Capital Providers to accelerate the velocity of our balance sheet through tailored origination, enhanced engineering capabilities while building long-term partnerships with asset managers (Brookfield Partnership) and insurers to develop co-financing solutions and an asset-light model. Grow our Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities business: Align our resources by Credit Chains for liquid to illiquid leveraging the strengths of the private and public sales’ investor coverage across regions and increase our relevance on Credit by providing an integrated full-service platform improving client penetration and investors’ intensity. Summary of Key Purposes of the Role: Sitting within the Credit Advisory, Structuring and Financing team, this role is to take a leading role in our Fund Financing Solutions, developing new business while ensuring accurate and timely execution. The key focus will be on Hedge Fund clients but there will be scope to broaden this into other markets, and we will tailor the role to the individual, within reason. In addition, you will be expected to develop strong internal relationships across DCS and other areas across the Bank to ensure we can offer integrated and innovative solutions, ensuring a common approach and strengthening our offering to clients. PROFILE REQUIRED Detailed knowledge of the Hedge Fund market. Proven originator of new business with a track record of developing long-term relationships with clients built on trust and performance. Ability to understand complex credit structures, their dynamics and related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to provide relevant capital markets products with a particular focus on asset-backed products and markets. Awareness and understanding of risks (conduct, reputational, financial etc.) and a track record of acting responsibly. Able to develop internal working relationships across different business units. Innovative thinker to work closely with clients and find new solutions with a strong desire to be instrumental in creating and developing new areas of business and ways of doing things.
