You will ideally have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with autism and additional needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, nurturing and positive approach
- Good behaviour management skills with a relational focus
- An understanding of inclusive and personalised learning approaches
- Good organisation and time management skills
- GCSEs (or equivalent Level 2 qualifications) including English and Maths
Desirable criteria:
- A Level 3 or SEND-related qualification
- Experience supporting pupils working below age-related expectations
- Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk children
- Experience supporting intimate care
- Knowledge of partnership or community working
