Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £15.75 per hour + £5.00 per hour (additional rate where applicable)
Hourly Rate: £15.75 per hour + £5.00 per hour (additional rate where applicable)
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 160 hours per month
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: Paid at £45 per sleep

Service: Children's Home
Service Users: Young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children's & Young People's Workforce
Experience Required: Experience within Children's Residential

We are looking for experienced, resilient, and committed individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with complex needs. You will be confident managing challenging behaviours, building strong relationships, and providing consistent, nurturing care.

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, acting as a positive role model, and helping young people to develop life skills, emotional resilience, and independence.

  • You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent).

  • Candidates with only Healthcare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.

  • You require sponsorship – no sponsorship available.

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
