Salary: Starting from £38,602.40 per annum inclusive of night payments, plus benefits
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Average 42 hours per week on a 5-week rolling rota (2 days on, 3 days off)

Sleep-ins: Required as part of the rota (night payments included within salary)
Service: Children’s Residential Home
Service Users: Children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, mental health needs, learning disabilities, autistic behaviours, child sexual exploitation risks, and complex safeguarding needs
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Applicants without this qualification may be supported to complete it.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years’ experience within children’s residential care within the last 5 years, including at least 1 year supervising or managing staff within a care setting. Strong Ofsted knowledge required.

Who we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced Deputy Care Manager with a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people. The successful candidate will be confident in leading shifts, supporting staff performance, maintaining compliance, and deputising for the Registered Manager when required.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
- Minimum 2 years’ recent children’s residential care experience
- Minimum 1 year supervising or managing staff
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, CSE and behaviour management
- Emotional resilience and confidence managing challenging behaviours
- Strong leadership, communication and report writing skills
- Driving licence preferred
- Flexible approach to rota working and on-call responsibilities
