This is a 3-bed children’s residential home in Bacup supporting young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment focused on safeguarding, stability, and helping young people achieve positive outcomes.

Our client is seeking a confident and supportive Deputy Manager to work closely with the Registered Manager and help lead the home on a day-to-day basis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
  • Leading shifts and modelling high standards of care and safeguarding practice
  • Mentoring, coaching, and supervising staff to ensure consistent delivery
  • Supporting care planning, risk management, key work, and placement stability
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting inspection readiness
  • Helping create a positive culture where young people feel safe, listened to, and supported

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
  • Experience within Ofsted-registered children’s residential care
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and confident decision-making
  • A calm leadership style and strong communication skills
