Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £32,000 – £35,500

Working Hours: Full-time, shift pattern including sleep-ins

Number of Sleeps Required: As per rota

Pay Per Sleep: £50 per night

Service Users: YPs (10–18) | SEMH, Trauma, Complex Needs

Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years in residential childcare

The Home:

  • Type of YPs: Children and young people with SEMH, trauma, and complex needs
  • Ratio of staff to children: High staffing to meet individual needs

Who we are looking for…

  • Experienced, determined, caring, and thoughtful Deputy Manager
  • Age 22+ to meet Ofsted regulations
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in residential childcare
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Leadership experience: supervising staff, leading shifts, making rotas, leading staff meetings, ensuring placement plans and education support are followed, maintaining policies, procedures, and risk assessments
  • Ability to create positive, long-term relationships with children
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare

  • You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car
  • You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (not deemed equivalent)
  • Candidates with only HealthCare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications
  • You require sponsorship – no sponsorship available

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home will not be considered.
