About the Role: Are you a compassionate and experienced professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Team Leader to join our client’s children’s residential home. You will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people aged 6 to 17 who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may exhibit challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee shifts with Residential Support Workers
- Manage risks in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate daily plans effectively with your team
- Provide detailed reports and documentation using our paperless systems
- Review and update care plans and associated documentation regularly
- Offer positive parenting and exceptional communication
- Stay informed on current legislation, such as the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
Qualifications Required:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care OR Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce Diploma OR Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (Residential Pathway)
About You: You are an empathetic, open-minded professional with:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in children's or young adults’ residential care within the last 5 years
- A full manual driving licence
- A passion for supporting children and young people and a commitment to their development
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
