Who we are looking for: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker with strong leadership capability and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring Residential Support Workers
- Acting as a key worker for young people
- Supporting care planning, risk assessments, and placement planning
- Ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld at all times
- Supporting compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Health & Safety requirements
- Supporting inspections, Regulation 44 visits, and wider quality assurance activity
- Coordinating access to education, health, and therapeutic support
- Organising work patterns and supporting daily operational delivery
- Supporting recording systems, administration, and household standards
- Assisting with aspects of home budgeting and expenditure oversight
You will also need:
- 2–3 years’ experience in children’s residential care
- Relevant Level 3 / Children’s Workforce qualification or equivalent
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confidence working within a regulated children’s residential environment
