Provision: Two Children’s Residential Homes (2-bed each)
Supporting young people aged 7-17
Hours: Full-time 39 hours per week
Salary: £51,000 base
Potential Take-Home: Up to £61,800 with bonuses
About the Role
Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking to step up and take on a bigger challenge? This is a rare opportunity to lead two small settled 2-bed homes each with dedicated staff teams already in place. As the Dual Registered Manager you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure high-quality care delivery and lead your teams to achieve excellent outcomes for the young people. You’ll champion safeguarding, promote emotional resilience and create nurturing child-centred homes that empower young people to thrive.
Qualifications
- QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People)
- Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years experience in residential childcare (within last 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year supervising or managing staff
- Strong understanding of Ofsted safeguarding and children’s home legislation
- Full UK manual driving licence, own car
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two 2-bed children’s homes
- Ensure high-quality care in line with legislation, Ofsted frameworks and internal policies
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding, behaviour management and risk management
- Maintain accurate record keeping and contribute to monitoring systems
- Support develop and supervise staff teams
- Oversee admissions and discharges
- Chair meetings internally & externally
- Lead on service development and embed best practice
- Participate in on-call rota; sleep-ins if required to support the homes
