Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Care Worker 🏡
Location: Alsager 📍

Salary: £35,731.88 per annum (increasing to £37,399.38 per annum from 1st August 2026) 💷

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: Four-week rolling rota. Typical shifts are 7:00am–3:00pm and 2:30pm–10:30pm. Weekend working required.

Employment Type: Permanent

Sleep-ins: 8 sleep-ins per rota for full-time employees (6 for part-time employees)

Service: Children's Home

Service Users: Children and young people aged 8–18 years

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification

Experience Required: Experience working with children in a residential setting

Who we are looking for:

Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Children's Residential Care Worker who is passionate about supporting children and young people.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience working with children in a residential setting
• Hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have access to a vehicle insured for business use
• Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and child-centred care
• Be confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing direct care and support to children and young people
• Ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of children in the home
• Developing and implementing individualised care plans
• Supporting children to attend appointments and activities
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation using IT systems
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
