Job Title: Senior Care Worker / Team Leader

Location: Bedfordshire / North Hertfordshire

Salary: £33,690 – £36,082 per annum + £60 per sleeping shift

Working Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off

Number of Sleeps Required: As per rota

Pay Per Sleep: £60 per night

Service: Children’s Home – EBD Residential Home

Service Users: YPs aged 11–17, EBD

Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner or equivalent

Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years in children’s residential care; at least 1 year in a senior role

Employment Type: Permanent | Full Time

The Home:

  • Location: Bedfordshire / North Hertfordshire
  • Type of YPs: Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Ratio of staff to children: High staff focus, small teams for personalised care

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience managing a staff team within a children’s home
  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviours
  • NVQ Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and external professionals
