Senior Childcare Practitioner
Seghill, Cramlington (NE23) Supporting children aged 7–17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties
The Opportunity

Your Role
- Provide high-quality, consistent care and support to children aged 7 to 17
- Work closely with your team to create a nurturing, safe, and structured environment
- Support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs
- Promote positive routines, independence, and emotional well-being
- Be a positive role model and help young people thrive
Shift Pattern & Salary
- Hours: 8am – 8pm shifts
- Contract Options: 36, 40 or 48 hours per week
- Sleep-ins: 8–10 per month (as per rota)
- Hourly Rate: £14.50
- Sleep-in Rate: £52 per night
Overtime and additional shifts available

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised Level 3 qualification)

Experience working in residential childcare or a related field

Full UK driving licence

Minimum age: 21 (in line with Ofsted requirements)
Desirable:
-
Experience supporting children with complex emotional needs

A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach
