About the Home

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a well-established 4-bed children’s home in Goole supporting young people with CSE and EBD needs.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team while ensuring the home delivers high‑quality, trauma‑informed care within a safe and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about improving outcomes for young people and committed to achieving and maintaining “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.

You will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and maintaining the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and team performance.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to complete within 6 months.
  • Strong knowledge of The Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and SCCIF.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and retain a stable staff team.
  • Experience supporting children who have experienced trauma, neglect and exploitation, including CSE.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and organisational standards.
  • Develop and oversee individual care plans addressing education, health and emotional needs.
  • Promote a culture of consultation and participation for young people within the home.
  • Recruit, develop and retain a motivated and consistent staff team.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, social workers and external agencies to support positive outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, occupancy levels and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people.
