Location: Walsall

Salary: £45,000 – £51,500 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (to meet the needs of the service)

Service Users: Children with learning disabilities

Qualifications Required:

  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or equivalent / willingness to achieve)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted‑registered children’s home
  • Experience supervising and managing staff in a care role
  • Knowledge of legislation including Children’s Regulations, The Quality Standards, Every Child Matters

Employment Type: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover, Nov 2025 – Dec 2026)

You will:

  • Oversee day‑to‑day running of the home efficiently
  • Ensure safe, high‑quality, child‑centred care
  • Lead and support the staff team
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements and inspections
  • Drive positive outcomes for children

A Full UK Driving Licence and own transport would be advantageous.
