Service: Children's Residential Home
Service Users: Children and young people aged 5 to 18 years with EBD and a variety of other needs and requirements.
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (most desirable), or a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care with a willingness to complete additional units in Children's Residential Care.
Experience Required: A minimum of 1 year in a Senior or Team Leader role. Residential childcare experience is desirable, although Senior and Team Leader experience in other health and social care environments will be considered.

This is a brand-new home preparing to open, offering the chance to join the team from the outset and help shape the culture of the service from day one.
As Senior Residential Practitioner you will oversee each shift, providing first-line management and supervision to the Residential Practitioners on duty and ensuring the children and young people receive the best possible care and support. You will report directly to the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager.

- Prioritise workload and duties effectively.
- Have experience of leading and delegating to the team on duty.
- Be confident in decision-making and accountability.
- Understand care plans, risk assessments and the Children's Homes Regulations.
- Safeguard and protect the wellbeing of children and young people at all times.
- Supervise and provide ongoing 1:1 practice-based supervision to team members.
- Work collaboratively with other Senior Practitioners and management to ensure the service meets the required standards.
- Act in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, seeking approval where necessary.
- Communicate professionally with team members and external professionals.
- Advocate for the needs, wishes and views of the children and young people in their care.
