Salary: £38,600 per annum
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 40 to 48 hours per week, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed to ensure the smooth running of the home, plus participation in the on-call rota.

Service Users: Children and young people aged 5 to 18 years with a variety of different needs and requirements.
Qualifications Required: A relevant qualification such as the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care is desirable but not essential, as in-house training is provided.
Experience Required: A minimum of 6 months' experience in a relevant field is preferred, although candidates who are eager to learn and grow are welcomed. A transferable Adults and Children's DBS is desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Registered Manager to efficiently manage the home and its resources, ensuring the best care for the children.
- Lead the preparation, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans, promoting positive life skills and personal growth.
- Assist in the admission process for new children, ensuring a smooth transition in line with policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance, instruction and support to Senior and Residential Practitioners, ensuring they are well equipped to manage the home.
- Ensure sufficient staff coverage at all times, maintaining the efficient and safe running of the home.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels within the team so all staff are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Identify and monitor staff training needs, ensuring the skills and experience of the team align with the needs of the home.
- Encourage individuality and independence among the children, promoting communication and interaction to broaden their life opportunities.
- Ensure all children receive proper medical, dental and health care tailored to their individual needs, with regular reviews in place.
- Comply with the company's Standard Operating Procedures and seek guidance from management where necessary.
- Participate in reviews, meetings and case conferences, collaborating with social services and other professionals to enhance care practices.
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all children and staff, including fire safety precautions, to minimise risk.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring agencies, assisting in filling any vacancies within the home.
- Take overall management responsibility in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of care and support.
- Conduct the induction of new staff alongside the Registered Manager.
- Be available for on-call duties to provide advice, guidance and support in emergency situations.
