Salary: £51,500 – £60,000 per annum + £7,500 welcome bonus

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time)

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential) and QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management (or prepared to study)

The Home: This is a 3-bed children’s residential home in Leicester (LE3 8HA), supporting young people aged 8–17 with EBD. The home provides a stable, structured environment with a strong focus on safeguarding, consistency, and positive outcomes.

Who we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced, values-driven Registered Manager to lead the home and deliver high-quality, child-centred care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading, developing, and motivating the staff team to deliver consistently strong care
  • Ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding requirements, and internal policies
  • Embedding a warm, structured, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive
  • Managing referrals, care planning, risk management, and placement stability
  • Working collaboratively with local authorities, education, and partner agencies to secure the best outcomes
  • Overseeing staffing, rotas, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Maintaining inspection readiness and driving continuous improvement across the service
  • Ensuring the home’s Statement of Purpose is delivered in practice every day

Requirements:

  • Significant leadership experience within Ofsted-registered children’s residential care
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding practice, and regulatory compliance
  • Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
  • QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management (or willingness to work towards this)
  • Confident leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A consistent, child-focused approach with high standards and strong attention to detail
