Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home (LD) – Seghill Provision 3-bed Ofsted-regulated children’s home supporting young people with LD.
Location: Seghill
Young People Supported: Children and young people aged 6–17 with learning difficulties.
The Role: As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager to deliver a safe, stable, nurturing home where young people can thrive. You’ll help lead the staff team, embed high standards of care and safeguarding, and ensure quality is consistent day-to-day. You’ll also take responsibility for the staff rota (including your own shifts), alongside supporting supervision, practice development, and compliance with regulations and care standards.
Base Salary: £37,800 per annum. Sleeps: Occasionally, sleeps may be required, only if necessary due to on-shift staff being on Annual Leave (AL) or sick. Sleeps are paid at £52 on top of the base salary. A maximum of 4 to 6 sleeps are allowed.

Requirements:
- Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
- Experience: Previous experience as a Deputy/Assistant Manager, or Senior Residential Support Worker within residential childcare
- Driving Licence: Full, valid UK manual driving licence
- Communication: Strong written and verbal English
- IT Skills: Confident with IT and willing to develop further
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of safeguarding, residential childcare legislation, and confidence supervising care teams
