Job Title: Deputy Manager

Location: Coventry (CV2)

Salary: Estimated £37,620 per annum (£16.50 × 160 hours × 12 months = £31,680, plus 11 sleep-ins per month at £45 × 12 months = £5,940)

Hourly Rate: £16.50 per hour, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 160 hours per month, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

Sleep-ins: £45 per sleep

Service: Children's Home

Service Users: Young people aged 8-17 years with EBD

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce, and QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or prepared to study towards it). Full UK manual driving licence.

Experience Required: At least 1 year as a Senior Residential Care Worker in a children's home

A strong leader and great role model for looked after children. You will work alongside the Home Manager across compliance, safeguarding, quality assurance and financial planning. You will lead the team through supervision, appraisal and development, and manage the home in the Registered Manager's absence. You will maintain a safe and homely environment, oversee health and safety, risk assessments and training compliance, and liaise with professionals to contribute to care planning. You will build trusting relationships with both staff and young people, with genuine care and compassion at the heart of your practice.
