Essential skills and experience:
- Excellent practical science skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, especially using Microsoft Office.
- Cheerful outlook and ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Good communication and time‑management skills.
- Experience of supporting curriculum delivery in a secondary or post‑16 setting (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in preparing lessons by setting up equipment and trialling practical activities.
- Maintain stocks of resources, including chemicals, and ensure proper storage.
- Provide technical assistance to support practical aspects of curriculum delivery across both key stages.
- Play a proactive role in safeguarding, ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Build positive relationships with students while maintaining firm boundaries.
- Support the Science team in delivering specialist technical education.
