We are seeking an exceptional Pastoral Support Assistant and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) SCP A5, £25,583 per annum, pro-rated. Contract Term: Full time, term time only (39 weeks).

You won’t simply provide pastoral support; you will:

  • Act as a key safeguarding presence within the UTC, supporting and deputising for the DSL
  • Respond to concerns with professionalism, care, and a clear understanding of procedures
  • Build trusted relationships with students, enabling them to feel safe, heard, and supported
  • Work closely with families, staff, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes
  • Deliver targeted interventions to strengthen emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-regulation
