Sparsholt College Group, bringing together Sparsholt College, Andover College and University Centre Sparsholt, is seeking a Finance Governor to join its Board and help guide a distinctive education provider with an annual turnover of ~£42m and a strong reputation for quality. Partnership working is at the heart of the Group's success, with close collaboration with employers and industry partners helping keep the curriculum skills‑led and future‑focused.
This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant and senior finance professional, with board-level or equivalent strategic leadership experience to provide robust, constructive oversight. The appointee will support the Board to balance opportunity and risk in a dynamic funding and cost environment, and will sit on either the Resources Committee or Audit Committee.
You’ll bring strong analytical capability to interpret complex information, assess long‑term implications, and connect the College’s educational mission to financial planning and sustainable growth. You’ll be helping sustain an organisation underpinned by a substantial workforce and a unique specialist estate across rural and town‑centre locations, featuring immersive teaching spaces, research laboratories, a construction skills centre, a commercial farm, an accredited zoo, and student accommodation that enables access to specialist programmes.
