Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking new Governors to strengthen its Board and support the continued growth of this high-performing, inclusive, and community-focused further education college. With strong financial health, over 4,000 learners, and a recent “Good” Ofsted outcome with outstanding/strong judgments in key areas, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a college recognised for its positive impact and commitment to delivering exceptional technical and vocational education.
The Board is looking to appoint three Governors to key strategic roles:
- Chair of the Corporation: A senior leader with significant governance and strategic experience is sought to provide oversight of vision, risk, finance, and organisational direction.
- Audit Committee Member: A professionally qualified finance, assurance, or risk specialist is required to help strengthen oversight of audit, compliance, and internal controls.
- Standards & Curriculum Committee Member: An education quality specialist, ideally with FE or wider sector improvement experience, is sought to contribute to the College’s strong focus on performance, data, and continuous improvement.
