Truro and Penwith College is seeking new Governors to join its Corporation Board and help shape the future of education and skills development in Cornwall. With over 5,000 learners aged 16‑19, more than 800 apprentices, and 320 higher education students, the College is one of the leading providers in the South West. Employing over 1,100 staff and with an annual turnover of £50 million, it is also one of Cornwall’s largest employers, making a significant contribution to the region’s economy and communities. Offering a wide curriculum that spans A Levels, apprenticeships, and degree-level study, the College consistently delivers excellent results and is committed to growth, innovation, and opportunity.

Current Opportunities:
- Chair of the Finance, Infrastructure and People (FIP) Committee – bringing senior‑level financial expertise and strategic insight, with prior governance experience desirable.
- Governor with expertise in estates and sustainability – ideally with knowledge of estates management, health and safety, or environmental sustainability.
- Governor with expertise in digital, cyber, or artificial intelligence – to strengthen the Board’s understanding of emerging technologies and support future‑facing decision‑making.
