Education Partnership North East (EPNE) is a dynamic college group bringing together Sunderland College, Northumberland College and Hartlepool Sixth Form College, with campuses spanning the region from Berwick‑upon‑Tweed to the Tees Valley. EPNE is seeking to appoint two experienced individuals to strengthen strategic governance during a period of significant transition and growth, supporting delivery of the Strategic Plan 2025–2030 and Vision 2030 ambition.
Finance, Resources and Projects Committee Chair:
- Senior financial leader (e.g., ACA/ACCA or equivalent, CFO/Finance Director level).
- Oversight of financial strategy, resources and major projects.
- Experience managing complex budgets and multi‑site operations.
- Desirable experience of projects, mergers/acquisitions, or organisational consolidation.
- Ability to provide constructive challenge and build strong working relationships.
Audit Committee Member:
- Deep expertise in audit, governance, compliance and risk management.
- Experience leading audit activity (ideally beyond financial audit into operational/quality‑focused reviews).
- Strong understanding of internal/external audit processes and governance frameworks.
- Experience in regulated environments (FE or similar) advantageous.
- Collaborative approach, focused on driving improvement through effective scrutiny.
