Kendal College is on a powerful trajectory - and we’re looking for two exceptional governance leaders to join the College Corporation as Chair Designate and Vice Chair Designate. Serving 4,299 learners across Cumbria and beyond, the College delivers a broad, ambitious curriculum spanning vocational pathways, apprenticeships, T Levels, A Levels, Higher Education and Adult learning. With deep-rooted partnerships across sectors, learners gain real-world experience that fuels progression into sustainable employment, higher study, and meaningful next steps.
Following a strong improvement journey, the College achieved an Ofsted judgement of “Expected standard” (March 2026) and maintains Good financial health with an annual turnover of £18m. Now, they're entering an exciting new chapter: delivering an ambitious capital redevelopment programme, implementing a new strategic plan, and sustaining momentum in learner outcomes.
