Callywith College is seeking to appoint a new volunteer Governor (Trustee) to join its experienced and committed Board. This is a valuable opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of one of the most successful and fastest-growing sixth form colleges in the South West. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted and serving around 1,700 full-time students from across Cornwall, the College has earned a strong reputation for academic excellence, high-quality teaching, and outstanding student support.

The Board is particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in areas such as strategic leadership, quality improvement, safeguarding, education, business, finance, HR, or governance. The successful candidate will contribute to the Teaching, Learning & Student Experience Committee, supporting high standards in teaching, learning, and student wellbeing. Prior board experience is not essential – full induction and training will be provided.

This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting an ambitious and inclusive college through the next phase of its development. Governors act as critical friends to the leadership team, bringing insight, challenge, and support to ensure the continued success of Callywith College.
