As a Resource Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our depot operations — supporting our teams, coordinating people and materials, and making sure everything runs smoothly day-to-day. You’ll manage a small support team, keep our records, fleet and plant up to standard, and work closely with operational leaders to ensure resources are in the right place at the right time. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll help drive improvements, support innovation and make a real impact on how we deliver safe, reliable services across the South East.

Here’s how you will contribute…

  • Managing a team of Record Control Assistants, Support Drivers and/or Admin Team
  • Management of the depot records control function, ensuring all functions and processes are adhered to and developed
  • Coordination of all material requirements for project work
  • Monitoring contractual compliance to SHE 76 Management Procedure
  • Undertaking site and yard audits
  • Manage SCO Data for the Depot
  • Supporting the Business Performance manager by ensuring resource data is current and accurate
  • Looking after Depots Fleet and Plant
  • Providing adhoc support to the Engineering Manager
  • Assisting with implementation of innovation and be able to innovate to apply change for an improved structure whilst making cost savings.

What You Will Need

  • Effectively manage a team in a depot environment; therefore some depot-based experience, as well as some supervisory experience, would be an advantage.
  • Highly motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work.
  • Committed to safety; have excellent organisation and problem-solving skills and be able to act on your own initiative to minimise or prevent anticipated problems.
  • Effective communicator at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will have excellent IT skills and be competent in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel and have experience of BORIS & Maximo.
