As PMO Manager, you'll establish and lead the Programme Management Office (PMO) for one of SGN's most significant transformation programmes—a major, multi-year investment that will reshape our property estate, workplaces and operational facilities. You'll provide the governance, programme controls and strategic insight needed to successfully deliver a complex portfolio of property, technology, cyber security and organisational change initiatives, ensuring informed decision-making while protecting business continuity and critical national infrastructure.

Here's how you will contribute…

  • Establish and lead a high-performing Programme Management Office, providing governance, programme controls, integrated planning, financial oversight and executive reporting across the transformation programme.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated master programme, ensuring all workstreams—including property, technology, cyber security, business change and operational readiness—remain aligned and effectively coordinated.
  • Drive robust governance, risk, issue, dependency and change control processes, providing accurate reporting and insight to support executive decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Programme Director and senior stakeholders to monitor programme performance, financial controls, resource planning and benefits realisation.
  • Lead programme assurance activities, ensuring compliance with internal governance standards, regulatory requirements and best practice programme management.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability and continuous improvement, enabling successful delivery across multiple complex workstreams.

What you will need:

  • Significant experience leading PMOs for major transformation or capital programmes, ideally valued at £100m+, within regulated infrastructure, utilities or similarly complex environments.
  • Proven expertise in programme governance, integrated planning, programme controls and executive reporting across large, multi-disciplinary programmes.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills, including forecasting, budget control, change control and performance reporting.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional dependencies across property, technology, cyber security and organisational change programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to provide trusted insight and challenge at Executive level.
  • Knowledge of recognised programme management methodologies (such as MSP, PRINCE2, PMI or APM) and experience with programme planning and reporting tools would be advantageous.
