Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance with environmental legislation and company standards
Provide environmental advice and guidance, supporting legal compliance and contributing to the Compliance & Assurance programme
Manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 requirements, including supporting external audits and driving continuous improvement through internal audits and reviews
Monitor environmental performance against agreed targets and undertake site inspections and audits as required
Support the review and development of environmental procedures, guidance documents, and other EMS-related documentation
Lead waste management activities within your region, identifying opportunities for improvement and carrying out duty of care audits where required
Provide environmental support for permit applications, including discharge consents, trade effluent notices, and PPC permits
Investigate environmental incidents, identifying root causes and supporting improvement actions
Develop and share environmental communications and guidance across the business
Support the delivery of the Environmental Action Plan (EAP)
What you will need
A qualification in an environmental discipline (e.g. diploma or degree) and/or relevant professional experience
Experience working in an environmental, compliance, governance, auditing, or management systems role
Knowledge of environmental management systems and ISO 14001 requirements
Understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory compliance principles
