As a Sales Account Manager, you will be joining a rapidly expanding scientific manufacturing business that produces prepared microbiological culture media and other associated products for microbiology. The role is primarily field-based for visiting customers, generating sales leads, attending promotional events, exhibitions, and technical conferences, and continuously exploring microbiology laboratory environments for opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Existing customer visits and account point of contact.
  • Customer care and complaint management (in conjunction with the Quality Manager and the Customer Service Team).
  • Liaising with different departments within the company, including Technical R&D, Customer Services, and the Quality Team, to deliver high-quality products and an exceptional level of service to customers.

You will be required to be in the office in Corby, Northamptonshire for team meetings and training.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of field sales experience - A scientific sales professional with a good grounding in the industry and good basic field sales skills, looking to move into a more responsible position with good earning potential.
  • 2 years of practical laboratory experience - A microbiology professional currently working in a laboratory, who wants to use their scientific knowledge and experience to maximise their earnings and take on a new challenge outside of the lab in interesting varied microbiology settings.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated, driven and committed to a career in a field sales role.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and maintain a professional approach at all times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a full UK driving licence.
