Your Opportunity:
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion to keep machines running at peak performance? We\’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at SGL Carbon Fibers Ltd.
This is a key role that involves:
- Providing maintenance support to both new and existing plant across our site to ensure optimum levels of efficiency within our operations
- Completing scheduled inspections and maintenance activity as well as unscheduled and adhoc/emergency electrical/mechanical works
- Continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance Safety and operational performance
- Communication is a key part of this role as you will be required to collaborate with different departments across the site ensuring that works are carried out and common understanding is achieved between Maintenance and Production colleagues
- Data entry and maintenance of records will also be required
Your Profile:
- Applicants that are able to demonstrate some experience of working in a manufacturing environment or similar would be advantageous
- Minimum HNC, SVQ/NVQ level 2 or 3 or other equivalent in a relevant Electrical/Mechanical Discipline and/or recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance.
- Must have proven electrical / mechanical maintenance experience, preferrably within a process manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Production Operations and Processes.
- Intermediate IT skills would be an advantage
- Willing to gain and use new and different skills
Location:This position is based at our site in Muir of Ord.
Hours of work: Pre-arranged Rota of Discontinuous Shifts including night shift; 12 hours per a day – averages to 2184 hours per annum, or 42 hours per week.
Salary: Circa £47K per annum, including Shift Allowance
