We’re working with a high-performing, tech-driven trading firm operating at scale in global markets. They are looking for a Platform Engineer to join a cutting-edge infrastructure team supporting real-time, distributed systems.
The Opportunity
This is a chance to work in a high-impact engineering environment where performance, reliability, and scalability are critical. You’ll help build and optimise infrastructure powering large-scale, globally distributed systems.
As a Platform Engineer, you will:
- Own and improve a global, highly available platform running 24/7
- Act as an infrastructure SME across Linux and networking layers
- Drive performance optimisation and automation across the stack
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams on architecture and delivery, working across a multi-region / multi-cloud environment
- Support production systems and continuously reduce manual overheads
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE, preferably within a multi-region or distributed systems environment
- Strong Linux systems and networking knowledge
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Scripting or programming experience (e.g. Python, Bash, Java, C#, or Rust)
- Proven experience supporting production systems at scale
- Experience working with containerisation in a production environment - Docker / Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring tools in a production environment - Prometheus / Grafana / ELK stack / Splunk
- IaC Tooling experience - Terraform, Ansible etc.
