This role is ideal for someone who enjoys remaining close to the technology while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence across multiple workstreams.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the design, development and delivery of scalable, secure, enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Providing technical leadership across multiple Agile engineering teams.
- Working closely with architects, delivery leads, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
- Championing engineering best practices including code quality, testing, CI/CD and secure development.
- Mentoring and coaching engineers to help develop technical capability across the team.
- Driving platform modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Helping shape engineering standards, reusable components and technical strategy across the wider organisation.
Experience Required
- Experience as an Engineering Lead, Technical Lead, Principal Engineer or Lead Software Engineer , who combines strong technical expertise with excellent leadership skills.
- Designing scalable enterprise applications
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
- Modern software engineering principles and best practices
- Software architecture and system design
- Coaching and mentoring engineering teams
- Experience within Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Banking, Capital Markets or another regulated industry would be highly advantageous.
- Exposure to technologies such as React, Type Script, Node. js, Python, Snowflake or low-code platforms would be beneficial but is not essentia l.
