Junior Project Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Project Manager to join the IT Department of a leading Investor Services business in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their project management career within a fast-paced and regulated environment.
You will work closely with IT leaders and business stakeholders to support project delivery, governance activities, and the successful execution of business and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT and business change projects.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and actions.
- Prepare project status reports and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and steering forums.
- Maintain project documentation and governance records.
- Ensure governance activities, policy reviews, and approvals are completed on schedule.
- Produce meeting minutes and track actions through to completion.
- Support supplier and contract management activities.
- Assist with system access reviews and governance controls.
- Drive smaller initiatives and workstreams to successful completion.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 1-3 years' experience in a Project Coordinator, PMO, Junior Project Manager, or similar role.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Degree educated or equivalent.
Desirable
- Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or PMO best practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Jira, or similar project management tools.
- Exposure to supplier or vendor management.
