SGD 3D is a specialist additive manufacturing company delivering high-quality 3D printed parts for prototyping and low- to medium-volume production. We utilise a range of industrial 3D printing technologies to provide reliable, cost-effective solutions for customers across a wide range of industries including aerospace, renewable energy, and motorsport.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to start or progress a career in additive manufacturing, gaining hands‑on experience in post‑processing, order dispatch, and working closely with teams across the business to meet customer requirements and lead times.

You’ll be working as part of a small, close-knit production team, with opportunities to develop practical skills across industrial 3D printing processes. Training will be provided, and no formal qualifications are required.

Main Duties

• Sort and prioritise orders through the correct post‑processing stages
• Operate post‑processing equipment and machinery safely and consistently
• Inspect finished parts for basic quality issues before dispatch
• Work to agreed lead times and daily production priorities
• Package parts securely and prepare orders for courier collection
• Prepare and dispatch finished parts using appropriate logistical methods
• Maintain a clean and organised postprocessing area
• Communicate issues or delays to the production team
• Follow documented processes and work instructions

Personal Qualities

• Organised and methodical approach to work.
• A genuine interest in 3D printing and manufacturing.
• Works well as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technically minded with a willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or equivalent
• Experience or familiarity with additive manufacturing environments (personal, academic, or professional).
