As a Door Supervisor, you will help deliver a fantastic experience for fun and vibrant crowds at our venues. Whether it’s premier league football, concerts and festivals, or world-famous horse racing, you’ll be part of the excitement. We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere in a safe and secure environment. This is a part-time role - working season by season in a racecourse where events may take place in the evenings and weekends outside of normal working hours. You may be required to travel to attend different venues depending on where the event is taking place if you choose to work at a different location.
As a DS licensed officer, you will be delivering customer service with a smile, be a friendly face at world-class events, providing a high visibility security presence to safeguard event teams, roaring crowds and some of the world’s biggest stars. You will enjoy the buzz of providing security at incredible venues. Sharing our passion for keeping people safe, your role will involve plenty of variety. You’ll carry out security searches, bar security and respond quickly and robustly to any crowd disruptions or disturbances. You’ll keep secured zones free of prohibited items and follow protocols when dealing with incidents. Friendly, professional and approachable, you’ll use your experience to ensure the events run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
- Greeting, assisting and directing people attending the event
- Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
- Monitoring crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary
- Reporting any incidents or concerns and dealing with emergency situations
- Checking tickets
- Access Control
- Asset Protection
- Carrying out security searches on entry points
- Responding to any incidents that may take place
- Adhering to company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
- You must be aged 18 years or above.
- You must hold a valid Door Supervisor licence.
- Experience of working within a similar role would be an advantage.
- Experience in delivering a personal and professional customer experience would be advantageous.
- Flexibility is a MUST- as most race days and/or events may take place at the weekend.
- A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity.
- Confident in interacting with high level visitors and management.
- A checkable personal history including periods of education, employment, travel and unemployment.
- Understanding of the events industry.
- Working towards or have a Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification - if you do not have this qualification, we can enrol you on a free course to gain this.
