SGC Security Services is expanding its team of professional Security Officers to support a portfolio of prestigious government and critical national infrastructure contracts across London.

We are seeking experienced, customer-focused security professionals who already hold Security Check (SC) Clearance and Non-Police Personnel Vetting Level 3 (NPPV3) .

Successful candidates will become permanent members of our security team and will be deployed across a range of high-profile locations as operational requirements dictate.

Key Responsibilities

As a Firewatch, Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting people, property and critical assets while delivering the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.

Duties may include

  • Access and egress control.
  • Reception and front-of-house security duties.
  • Internal and external security patrols.
  • Monitoring CCTV and security systems.
  • Responding to incidents, emergencies and alarm activations.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic incident and patrol reports.
  • Supporting health and safety and fire safety procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to staff, visitors and contractors.
  • Working across various client locations throughout London when required.

Requirements

Applicants must have

  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence.
  • Current Security Check (SC) Clearance .
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional appearance and strong customer service ethos.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents.
  • Good IT skills and experience completing electronic reports.
  • A flexible approach to working shifts and travelling to various locations across London.
  • The ability to successfully complete SGC Security Services’ internal vetting process together with any additional client-specific screening requirements.
  • Previous experience working within Government, Police, MOD or Critical National Infrastructure environments.
  • CCTV Licence.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Corporate security experience.
