Manufacturing Cell leader

SG Technologies - part of the Neo Performance Materials Group, is a global leader in the production of high-performance magnetic components and assemblies. Our products are shipped worldwide to high end automotive and consumer products customers such as Bosch, Caterpillar, and Yasa. We are looking for experienced Manufacturing Cell / Shift Leaders to join our Production team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all activities within your designated production shift, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective manufacture of high-quality products while achieving daily production targets. You will lead by example, support and develop your team, resolve production issues and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational performance and business growth. Promote a Safety First culture, ensuring compliance with company policies, safe working practices, PPE requirements and environmental standards Lead, motivate and develop team members, ensuring adequate shift coverage, effective training and performance management Ensure products meet required quality standards, work instructions and control plans, maintaining accurate production and quality records Achieve daily production targets by ensuring materials, equipment and resources are available, resolving operational issues and supporting effective shift handovers Drive operational efficiency through Lean initiatives, 5S, TPM, problem-solving and improvement projects, including LBE activities Monitor production performance, lead daily Tier 1 meetings, maintain accurate performance data and ensure resources are used efficiently to meet cost targets Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a manufacturing environment, ideally within the automotive industry Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop team members while leading by example A target-driven mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve production objectives Effective problem-solving skills, using initiative and a logical, structured approach to resolve issues A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with a willingness to learn, develop and train others Strong written and verbal communication skills, good IT skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Company Pension matching up to 7% Life assurance (3x salary) Subsidised canteen An active social club and secure car park 25 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays) Refer a friend bonus scheme Eye Care vouchers Employee Assistance Program Rotating shift patterns: days and nights TPBN1_UKTJ
