SG Technologies - part of the Neo Performance Materials Group, is a global leader in the production of high-performance magnetic components and assemblies. Our products are shipped worldwide to high-end automotive and consumer products customers such as Bosch, Caterpillar, and YASA.
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team and provide hands-on, pragmatic HR support across our operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment and making a real impact on the shop floor as well as at a strategic level.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring HR best practice is embedded across the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Advising managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies
- Assisting with training, development, and engagement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate HR records and HR metrics
- Supporting with initiatives that increase engagement amongst all staff
- Preparing bi-weekly payroll
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar role, preferably within manufacturing or a fast-paced operational setting
- Strong working knowledge of employment law
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or working towards) is desirable
Work pattern:
Full time 37.5-hour week Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm. After successfully passing probation, you will be eligible to use our flexitime system working around a core hour system with the potential to work a 9-day fortnight.
