Development Engineer / Project Manager in Kent, Rainham

SG Technologies - part of the Neo Performance Materials Group, is a global leader in the production of high-performance magnetic components and assemblies. Our products are shipped worldwide to high-end automotive and consumer products customers such as Bosch, Caterpillar, and YASA.

We are looking for a Development Project Manager (Engineer) to join our team and lead activities on new product introductions and product improvements.

• Working on customer driven projects, ensuring that projects run to schedule.
• Establishing production routes for new parts, including Pressing, Heat Treatment, Post Processing e.g. Machining, Dimensional studies, Magnetic Testing and Materials Testing.
• Ensuring correct product introduction (APQP) is maintained.
• Evaluating customer specifications.
• Writing technical specifications for SGT processes.
• Ensuring products are able to run in a stable and robust manner through trials and evaluation of data.

Required Skills and Experience:

• University Degree in Engineering discipline.
• Ideally have minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within Automotive industry.
• Ability to achieve objectives through teamwork and influence.
• Disciplined and logical approach to goal setting and problem solving.
• Having a hands-on approach in completing tasks and activities.
• Ability to communicate with all parties involved in projects including external parties.

Work pattern:

Full time 37.5-hour week Monday to Thursday 8.30am 5pm, Friday 8.30am 2.30pm. After successfully passing probation, you will be eligible to use our flexitime system working around a core hour system with the potential to work a 9-day fortnight.
