We are working with a well-capitalised, privately-owned investment and development business to recruit a Finance Analyst, joining the team at an important stage in the evolution of its finance function. With a substantial UK portfolio, the business is focused on enhancing cash visibility, strengthening financial controls and embedding a robust treasury and reporting framework to support ongoing investment and development activity. This role sits at the centre of those priorities, offering a blend of hands‑on treasury exposure and core accounting responsibilities. You will support cash management, financial reporting and process improvement, while gaining direct exposure to senior finance stakeholders and contributing to wider finance initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Support daily cash positioning and monitor liquidity across the business.
- Assist with short‑term cash flow forecasting, including variance analysis and commentary on key drivers.
- Support administration of banking facilities, including maintaining documentation and assisting with covenant reporting.
- Monitor multi‑currency bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and appropriate controls are in place.
- Assist with payments, banking processes and treasury administration.
- Support month‑end close processes.
- Prepare and analyse financial data, providing insight into performance, cash and working capital movements.
- Assist with preparation of management information and treasury‑related reporting.
- Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to finance and treasury‑related queries.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and financial procedures.
- Reconciliations & Transactions
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness and alignment with forecasts.
- Support administration of corporate credit cards and employee expenses.
- Analysis & Business Support
- Analyse cash, debt and treasury positions, highlighting key movements and trends.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with relevant financial analysis.
- Translate financial data into clear insights to support decision‑making.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance finance and treasury processes, reporting and controls.
- Support implementation of improved processes, systems and automation initiatives.
- Contribute to improving data quality, forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Part‑qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or actively studying.
- Experience within a finance, accounting, treasury or analytical rĂ´le.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Exposure to cash flow forecasting, reconciliations or treasury operations.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
