We have an opening for a Machine Operator to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a company that holds a prestigious, global brand. GESIPA UK based in Keighley, West Yorkshire is a manufacturing company producing a wide range of fasteners supplying different customers, many of which are in the automotive sector. Gesipa is part of the global SFS Group, who are a worldwide leading supplier of application-critical precision components and assemblies, mechanical fastening systems, quality tools and procurement solutions.
This is a very important and varied role where you will set machines to produce customer specification products. Once you are fully trained and familiarised in setting the machines in the section, you may be given the opportunity to learn how to set machines. Your working hours are 37 per week, which are worked over various rotating shift patterns Monday to Thursday, including possible night shifts.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Producing goods and carrying out inspections in accordance with works orders
- Meeting quality standards
- Weighing products accurately
- Setting machine using correct tooling
- Liaising with Technical and Quality departments
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to read and understand production drawings
- Some experience in a factory environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
- Flexible and willing to work in various shifts patterns
- Drive and passion to produce a quality product
